Competitive dCas9 binding as a mechanism for transcriptional control

A regulatory control mechanism is developed based on the competitive binding of dCas9 to DNA by two guide RNAs. One represses a target gene (CRISPRi) and the second displaces the repressing dCas9 without interfering with the gene’s transcription.
